This cushion is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven on backstrap loom in Java using natural dyes and hand drawn batik. The solid coloured rust back panel of this cushion is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java and dyed with Ceriops tagal in Threads of Life dye studio.
The motif is called a kawung which refers to the Javanese symbol for balance much like the Ying Yang or China. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
