The weavers of Amanuban have a wide range of textiles with various techniques including ikat, supplementary warp wrap called buna and supplementary warp patterning called sotis. There are a few remote areas that still weave kelim patterns locally called naisa.

The central ikat motif in this textile is Kai Mnutu means a small hook pattern and refers to interconnectedness between clans and family groups. This piece would be great worn as a scarf or as a runner on a table.
