Pillow and Cover
The Batik panel was batiked in Tuban on the island of Java. The solid indigo backing was made from the ikat panel was made by the weavers from the area of Ende on Flores. The natural dye technique to obtain these beautiful deep colours is one of the most time consuming of all of the techniques we have seen. The solid colour backing is made by the weavers from Hamba Praing in East Sumba using natural indigo.
There now remain only 5 pillows in this series that are identical– we can send the pillow without the Dacron stuffing and all you need is to get new Dacron and refill it. This makes shipping much less expensive.
